I have used this case, to date, to: write two and a half novels, countless short stories, and watch numerous videos and movies in more planes, trains, and automobiles than I care to think about, lose more hours of my life on social media than is prudent to admit, and I have to say this keyboard is a workhorse that has me completely happy*. I am content with the backlighting, the battery life, the responsiveness of the keyboard, and the Bluetooth capability. The case itself is extremely sturdy. Keep in mind I use my iPad primarily for writing and internet research, so I am not dependent on tilting and swiveling the screen overmuch, although that capability is invaluable while traveling. But the case has been tossed onto beds, dropped from my hand to a car seat and then slid from the car seat to the floor of the car, shoved into numerous handbags, backpacks, etc., and always protected my iPad beautifully. The case itself also never showed any sign of wear.Ah, you say, but what is the asterisk for? Where is the fine print? The unit that I had was all of the above, but had a fatal flaw: the connection to the micro USB port to charge the keyboard itself was always not quite right. At first it was only slightly "off” but from constant use for almost the year this case was used (and I assure you, this case saw daily use the likes of which it was probably never intended) the connection inevitably degraded to the point where I was propping the USB cord up with anything I could find to keep the connection steady, until the port was dead.I contacted the company, expecting to be told I was out of luck. However, when I explained what was going on, they generously offered to send me an entirely new case! I am not even required to return the old one, sparing me a trip to the post office in these charming pandemic times we live in.Therefore, "*” stands for:*when I approached the company about the iffy USB port, their response was to replace the unit so I can honestly tell you that the one component I was not thrilled with, they have offered to make right. So, I would say the case is great, the company is more than willing to stand behind their product, and I wholeheartedly recommend this product! (But make sure that USB port is tight, first thing, because I have learned that they do not get better over time. Foolish of me, really, not to have taken this step immediately, but lesson learned. The case is worth the minor aggravation.)
