Review on 💻 1TB WD Elements SE Portable SSD - USB 3.0 - PC and Mac Compatible - WDBAYN0010BBK-WESN by Darth Calder

I don't think I've ever written a 1 star review in my life but I felt like I did , I should warn others . I received this drive yesterday, reformatted it for use with my Mac, worked great for about 4 hours and then went completely black. I can no longer see it on my computer (or any other computer), although the drive still lights up like it's working. We lost some important data but the worst part was when I called support and they took no responsibility (Western Digital, not Amazon) for it. They literally told me that I would have to use data recovery services myself and that they would not pay for anything as if their drive failed because of me. Causing so much inconvenience is one thing, but doing nothing at all to help is quite another. After today I will never buy a WD drive again. I would happily give my money to a company that will go out of their way to fix everything and not shirk their responsibility if their product fails within 24 hours.
