I mostly bake bacon in the oven; when the coating on my old baking trays came off, i started looking for a suitable replacement. They looked like they would work and after about a month of use I can say I am completely satisfied with them. One of the most annoying things about my previous baking sheets was cleaning them up after I baked bacon on them. My previous racks had fairly thin wire mesh and bacon in particular would get stuck in the corners of the mesh. The lack of mesh, the greater spacing between the wires, and the thicker wires themselves make it easier to clean up after the bacon is cooked. I don't think the stand loses much strength, although I'm not sure it will hold a half-tin sized cupcake or roast, it's good for cookies and bacon, and I think it will for most be cake.
