At first I was very happy with this set. I tried to save money by buying an adjustable set instead of fixed length countersinks. I've used #6 and #8 to sink about 100 holes for several projects I've built over the past few months. However, for the first few projects I used the same size screws so I didn't really have to adjust the countersunk collet. When I had to make adjustments for different length carriages, my problems started. The lag screw requires considerable force to stay in place while drilling. The problem with using so much force is that it is very easy to bend the shank of the drill. You can bend it back but you've loosened the metal and eventually it will break, really very soon after what happened with my #6 and #8 bits. Also, it's impossible to put a screw on a #10 bit , so I didn't use it. I know these tips break sooner or later, but mine broke after only two months. Replacement bits are $9 to $10 each. I will not buy these replacement parts. I'm just going to bite the bullet and buy a higher quality sinker set that I should have had from the start.
