1) I chose the color blue, it was the cheapest and looks cool. 2) The device comes without written instructions, but it is intuitive to disassemble and install the SSD. There are enough reviews and questions here on Revain to find out. 3) It works as it should, I installed my "new" 1TB SSD, plugged it in, cloned my old 256GB SSD to a new one (using this adapter), replacing the SSD, now my laptop has an upgraded 1TB SSD and With this adapter I have a 256GB external SSD. 4) A "small" Phillips screwdriver is included to open this adapter. that's a good feature.
