Because the kerf is slightly thinner than other saw blades I've tried, it cuts less steel and therefore runs a little quieter and faster. I can't explain it, but with the other blade I used, after the cut I had to wait for the blade to stop before letting the saw blade come back. This was necessary because the other blades would be expected to scratch the steel while still in the vise, and this scratching hurts the blade while it is still turning slowly. This blade allows me to lift the saw blade while it's still spinning and it doesn't scratch the steel. I can't figure out how that's possible, but it is. After using the blade for a couple dozen cuts I ordered another one because I love it and need a spare.
