I recently bought a new 14" MacBook Pro with M1 Pro chip as an upgrade from a 2017 MacBook .Air.Since all new Macs support USB-C, I have a lot of USB sticks that I need to adapt.I tested these adapters with USB-A USB 3.1 NVMe Disk Enclosure.I got exactly the same transfer rate with these adapters as with the Apple adapter. They're so affordable I can pop one in for each of the flash drives I use and don't have to keep swapping them out. They're a lot more compact than the cable adapter that Apple sells.. The best part is, that they fit side-by-side in the new 14-inch MBP, allowing you to connect two USB-A devices at the same time as long as the USB devices aren't wider than the adapter.
