Review on Coralife 05692 Pure Flo 50 Gallon System by Todd Winter

I bought this to have clean water for water changes and to fill up my 72 gallon salt water tank. I connected it to the bib for the washing machine hose in the garage. Tuck in the Y-tube bib so I can control both. Anyway, the water supply line that connects to the tube breastplate was leaking pretty badly. I put a rubber washer in it and it still leaks. I had to tighten it with channel locks to stop it from flowing. Finally got to the point where it stopped dripping. The hose at the back of the device, connecting the first chamber to the second, was leaking on both sides. The center chamber also leaked where it attaches to the body of the device. I disassembled the entire block and taped all threaded connections with teflon tape. The yellow rear hose is still leaking on both sides. I emailed Coralife and they resent me a new one fairly quickly. However, I'm impatient, so I went to Orchard to buy new pipes. You can buy a 15 foot hose reel for $4. 1/8" inner diameter, 1/4" outer diameter. Came to find the yellow hose had snapped on both sides. Everything is now connected and seems to be working fine. Unless you are very handy I wouldn't recommend it. I'm a pipe installer and I was still having trouble fixing leaks.
