Review on DEWALT DW22952 16 Inch IMPACT Socket by Louis Mechtak

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I was finally able to remove the water heater anode!

I had problems with the water heater in the previous house and didn't want to have the trouble again in the new house, so I took some "prevention measures". Maintenance". As well as the heaters, I also wanted to change the anode. When my socket method failed, I did a little research and found that impact wrenches are highly recommended. I knew my battery-powered Makita didn't have a matching outlet adapter, so i ordered a kit for this socket. i think i tried the combo out the same day it arrived. The first tries were discouraged because the old anode rod didn't seem to move at all. I paused briefly and simple I kept trying to loosen the screw at 5 second intervals and finally it started moving! I was so happy! Neither the socket nor the adapter showed any signs of use. This thing saved me a lot of money, because I didn't have to call anyone to do anything (or fix things that might break with other methods).

Pros
  • Recessed corners distribute torque between apartments - promote life
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
