I should have read the reviews but I didn't. The product image shows a shiny clean washer which anyone can reasonably assume is galvanized like you would normally buy at a hardware store to prevent rusting. But it's naked steal and coated in fuel oil to prevent rusting. You get what you pay for, the title clearly says it's still basic, I was hoping for an electroplated finish. I've learned my lesson.
