🔩 Steel Flat Washer Pack - B009OJIH7G, ASME B18.22.1, 1/4" Screw Size, 9/32" ID, 5/8" OD, 0.065" Thick (100-Pack) Review

Good for the price and saved me a trip across town to a proper hardware store but the whole bag arrived rusty. Outside diameter 0.62-0.63, thickness 0.068-0.078. Not very consistent, if that's important to you. At least they weren't super thin and flimsy.

I should have read the reviews but I didn't. The product image shows a shiny clean washer which anyone can reasonably assume is galvanized like you would normally buy at a hardware store to prevent rusting. But it's naked steal and coated in fuel oil to prevent rusting. You get what you pay for, the title clearly says it's still basic, I was hoping for an electroplated finish. I've learned my lesson.

If there weren't so many problems returning something in the middle of a pandemic, this would be a return. Slim. Plain finish actually means a pack full of oil scrubbers that don't look like the picture used in the description. The first photo is in the bag. In the second photo, the left washer is hand wiped, the right washer is straight out of the box. Straight from China, past Harbor Fright! Does anyone have a suggestion for a simple bulk cleanup?

They are not shiny like in the picture. These washers are black and coated with dirty black protective oil. I need them when installing cabinets. There's no way I can put them in customers' kitchen cupboards. Please read reviews before ordering. I didn't because I was repeating an order I'd made many times before and always got shiny steel discs in individual boxes. Again they come in plastic bags with 100 plain dirty washers covered in oil.

These washers really helped spread the load from the bolt over a large area so the bolt wouldn't go through the hole. They've done a pretty good job, but I always encourage companies to improve their products. Perhaps there is a new design for this that the company could propose and improve upon. Maybe it could be a heart shape or a cookie, or maybe I could engrave my name on it, or maybe it could have a blue tooth or Wi-Fi and make me sign up for a cloud service that will eventually go out of…

As others have written these things arrive covered in grease. I washed them first in a small amount of boiling water and a large amount of Comet, then wiped, then wiped each one with alcohol. I can't use expensive solvents, but alcohol works, just toss them in a full bowl, take them out and wipe them down one at a time. When they arrived I was disappointed with the finish. At first I thought Revane had sent me the wrong item, but no, that was correct.
