Review on Ableconn PIUSBSDXC Raspberry Pi USB 2.0 to SD 3.0 (SDXC) Converter Stackable Board by Vincent Pavelko

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Doesn't fit in any case, but the work is reliable. Works great with my RPI 3B+

This board works great with my internal ADATA SU800 1TB M.2 2280 SATA 3D NAND SSD and after a week of heavy use I've had no problems. However, one of the photos is misleading as it appeared the included ADATA would fit in a tall case. It is not. From the photo it looks like the stackable board is the same size as the Raspberry Pi board. (That's why I only gave four stars because the manufacturer should have added something telling people it wouldn't fit in standard cases). Increased height body design. The card is outside the case. The part used to screw in the memory card is outside the length of this case and the official Raspberry case. So my map is on top of the PI with a slight tilt. The best way to use this stackable machine with a memory card attached is to place your Raspberry PI on a flat surface and simply tape the card onto it. , the card and the attached SSD drive work perfectly. And during the week that I've been working hard, no real rise in temperature has been noticed. The temperature was kept at a constant level of 50-55°C. I would recommend this card to anyone looking for a solid state drive.

Pros
  • Everything great!
Cons
  • Available in black only
