Review on ๐Ÿ”’ Aluminum PETG Filament Moisture Additive for Enhanced Additive Manufacturing Products by David Cook

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Really disappointed

Compared to all other American brands, it's easy to print, just like all our manufacturers' PETG filament. This is my hometown brand and I honestly expect more. The color is good (shiny), it prints well, but my real problem is the sweater. Petg generally doesn't handle overlap well, but of all the brands I've tested (Esun, Hatchbox, Atomic, mgchemicals, Filamentone, 3D-Fuel, Taulman, Paramount, etc.). Edit: I wanted to add Paramount as well ( great petg) and your setup. MK3s with Bontech extruder, 0.6mm nozzle and 0.4mm x. Maker's muze gap sensor result (0.6mm nozzle -> 0.2mm gap, 0.4mm nozzle -> 0.15 gap). The filament drying system shows <20% on all my petg reels. Needless to say I know how to adjust temperature, fan and pseed while printing calibration cubes to fine tune the filament. My 2-star rating stands thanks to a lengthy email from the seller about fine-tuning the print settings. I would also like to add --> Yes, filament SKUs are manufactured differently, but being able to produce a consistently good product is part of having a good overview. When a regular Chinese brand prints better, it's time to check out your PSP.
