Review on πŸ”ͺ Enhance Knife Performance with Fallkniven DC3 Whetstone Diamond Ceramic Knife Sharpener by Chase Hosea

I'm guessing it's worth $20. Update: but maybe not, depending on the person.

Update: This is very delicate. At first I made a leather sheath with a case for this stone, but it turned out to be a waste of time. The first time it took a medium hit, the ceramic cracked, even with the skin acting as a cushion. A thicker and/or stronger ceramic would mitigate this problem, making it easier to hold and still wearable. I would happily pay a few euros more for this to be an option to buy. If you buy this, be extremely careful when using it and keep it in your backpack. Best wrapped in a spare shirt. Original Review: The first thing that catches the eye when using this stone is the edges of the ceramic side. They were sharp and jagged. This was easily remedied by rounding them off with fine sandpaper, but if I have to fix the tool before I can use it I'm already disappointed. Next to. . . it's just ok The diamond side is effective but I can tell it wears out pretty quickly. If you need something for a casual camping trip, this is it.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Infinitely sluggish
