i just bought this product and it works better than i expected it's easy to set up if you follow the instructions set the channel to cable tv 3 even if you Don't If you have cable TV, it only broadcasts on one channel when you receive a signal. (I only have an antenna that was connected to the threaded part of the cable TV). The mode button changes the image size. Vertically and horizontally, press SYS to select PAL when you are abroad. Also see it's on NTSC-M mode and you can change it from there too by pressing the arrow keys. You can use the mode to select sharpness, brightness etc and also your TV settings will give you the best picture, the device is set to PAL so make sure you are in NTSC-MI use this device currently on a small widescreen and show my roku device through a cable tv release and watch it picture in picture on tv. I also have my computer screen in the background This device works great, the bad reviews are unfounded, you need to set it right. I haven't had any problems so I recommend this product, it's a significant saving compared to buying an expensive radio modulator if you don't broadcast to companies. Network and multiple sources or networks, this device is fine, it just needs to be configured properly and you're done
