Device never worked. I bought this device to connect an old TV to a modern cable system. So it was strange that I can't tune a channel like 3 or 4 and have to use a search channel to find the right channel, when I have this function, channel search usually takes a while. The body is made from low quality plastic and the fit and finish is similar to 99 cent shop quality. The manual is not very helpful. So much time wasted and no result. In the end I returned it. I didn't have high hopes for this product because I have things for my old TV that didn't work before. But it works great. I'm very happy with the product and it works great with my BeoVision 4402. The picture quality isn't perfect but it's better than my VHS and I don't think I can fault the product. I mean, 2021 quality movies converted to 1978 quality can't be perfect. no male/male cable. screw connector. Most TVs have a female input, so that makes sense.

My cable co. gave me a new cable box with HDMI output but no coaxial RF output. This meant I could not now use my VCR with the cable box. You no longer need to record TV shows. So I bought this converter device to connect an HDMI cable to it and then connect the converter to my VCR via an RF coaxial cable like in the good old days.
