Review on 🔌 StarTech.com 2.5Gbps PCIe Network Card - 2.5GBASE-T PCIe LAN Card - RTL8125 (ST2GPEX) by Justin Cranford

I read another guy's review of this card without even letting the motherboard post. I saw his review before I bought it and bought it anyway, thinking it was a far off problem. I'm a big Startech fan and usually buy their brand whenever I can, but stay away from this card. I've ordered a replacement and will update my rating if it works, but if you're reading this and it's still a 1 star rating, CHOOSE ANOTHER BRAND. I also suspect that a used product was sent to me. The packaging was a little suspicious in the way it was laid out, but I can't tell for sure. Again, I'm a big fan of StarTech but am staying away from this product at the time of this review. UPDATE: So the replacement wasn't dead on arrival. However, it didn't work on my motherboard, but it did on another replacement part I had. It did the exact same thing as before and prevented my computer from posting. I just kept pulling the plug. I have a high end system with a 1000w platinum rated SeaSonic PSU and ASUS parts. This is the only card causing problems with my system. I cannot recommend this product. I'll be fair and give it one star because it MIGHT work on your system, but it's not as versatile as you would expect. The fact that others are complaining about the same thing suggests that there is something wrong with the design of this card.
