Boring but attractive.
Has almost no blade out of the box which is impractical for such a thick needle blade. This is a cool looking knife in person. Can be sharpened if steel is 58+ HRC as specified. However, if the black finish falls a few millimeters from the edge, you may need to start sanding the surface to set the proper edge and ruin the cool factor. Update: Customer service was great and replaced the knife. The replacement looked better than the original. I bought a ceramic sharpener for the blade. Will continue to sharpen during cooking but will need sharpening after use, 4116 steel limitation, not a manufacturer issue.
