Review on ๐Ÿฆ… Sram NX Eagle 12-Speed Cassette: Unleashing Superior Performance by Bob Souza

Works with Wahoo Kickr!

My Trek Marlin is now constantly in use as a trainer. I was hoping that the always-problematic 3x9 gearing would be enough for a track-fired trainer. There is no such happiness. So, it's time to convert to 1x12. I bought this NX Eagle cassette to be compatible with my existing hubs (trainer and MTB wheel). My rebuild also included a GX Eagle 12-speed rear derailleur, GX Eagle chain, GX Eagle Dub cranks (175mm/32T), SRAM DUB BSA bottom bracket (68mm/73mm) and a 12-speed GX Eagle rear derailleur. If you haven't ridden a SRAM Eagle drivetrain before, stop what you're doing and show it off now. If you own a Wahoo Kickr and want your Eagle drivetrain to work, read on: Wahoo Kickr Compatibility: I've searched everywhere to see if the NX Eagle is compatible with Shimano's 11-speed drivetrain housing on the Wahoo Kickr would. I found the only article that indicated theoretical compatibility. Wahoo says it doesn't support this, but here's what you need to get your NX Eagle 12-speed cassette working properly with the Wahoo Kickr:1. Matching narrow wide cassette whip2. Cassette tool Shimano.3. Shimano 1.85mm spacer, ref: FW8991 The 1.85mm spacer is the magic bullet. Do not attempt to use the spacer that came with the Kickr.
