The hydrometer even arrived with the plastic test glass crushed. The glass hydrometer consisted mostly of powdered glass. I always hate when people write reviews like this because they don't really describe the features of the product. The reason I'm writing this is because I got my money back, Amazon is great for that and I bought a refractometer instead. It was only a few bucks more than a hydrometer, much less fussy to use, and I think more accurate and easier to read. plus, instead of filling a tube with your wort (brewing beer) and floating around with a hydrometer, put 2 or 3 DROPS on the refractometer and bam, you see the measurement. I recommend going this route. it's not much more expensive, easier to use, half the size and not as fragile.
