Review on 🚴 Magene Wireless Speed/Cadence RPM Sensor for Cycling, Indoor/Outdoor Bluetooth/Ant+ Bike Computer, Compatible with Onelap, Wahoo Fitness, Zwift, Strava - Ideal for Road Bike, Spinning Bike, and Trainers by Tim Beckett

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Does not provide a constant cadence - it is updated, not the error S3 +

sensor of a typical design. It's easy to switch between speed and cadence (I used cadence) and easy to assemble. I wanted it to work with my Kinetic Fit Trainer/App via Bluetooth. The S3+ cadence block is connected normally, but only outputs a cadence value every 2-6 seconds. I've attached an image of a CSV file provided by the Kinetic Fit app showing the discrepancy in cadence values. If S3+ returns a value, it appears to be correct. However, if you get a lot of zeros, an average cadence doesn't matter. Data must be provided continuously. My trainer continuously transmits power, speed and heart rate via Bluetooth. I emailed Magene customer service and they said to contact my dealer for a replacement. Before that I tried updating the S3+ firmware and even a new battery. Data problem not solved. Then I got a replacement block that did the same thing. I only gave the S3+ sensor 2 stars because the exchange/return at Amazon worked well. Update 11/26/20: It turned out that the problem was the incompatibility of the cadence sensors with the Kinetic Fit app. Magene S3+ reportedly worked flawlessly. I tried a Garmin Cadence 2 doing the same thing as Magene and found it to be a known issue. Rating changed from 2 to 5 stars.
