Find exact cadence elsewhere

This device attached easily to my bike's crank but does not attach securely. It pairs fine with my Wahoo Element Roam, but the readings are inaccurate. I emailed the seller and they emailed me back the next day. In general, they said to try. I've tried and experimented with poor results. The supplier stopped responding to emails after learning that the return period for sensors had expired. I would not recommend this sensor, especially when there are budget sensors from reputable companies like

Works but can't keep up with speed and cadence

Arrives quickly and works but has a few issues. The battery cover is cheap plastic, and one of my sensors had a tab torn off. It still works, but now the battery cover is difficult to remove and is no longer waterproof. I bought two of these and both work for speed or cadence but my iPhone only connects to one sensor or the other. I would like to have both speed and cadence and could do it with other sensors but not these. One of my batteries died after a few weeks. I'm not sure if it was a…

Pros
  • Finally bought it
Cons
  • Only available in black

EDIT: The battery died after a month. which is not impressive, to say the least. Although I believe this is due to the cheap Chinese battery that came with the kit. I have several energizers, hope they last longer. I will update this review over the next few months. When it came in the mail I was very impressed with how well built it was for $18. Went straight to the footswitch, connected to my computer straight away and it's easy. is working. My only criticism of this product is that you can't

Fits easily and works well with Garmin Edge 130

I've recently returned to cycling after a few years of hiatus and got a Garmin Edge 130 to replace my aging Cateye Mity 3. I grabbed the speed/cadence sensor combo Magene based on rating and price and I wasn't disappointed. I've done several rides of around 100 miles since I bought them and they've worked flawlessly. Pairing was instant and almost instant. I'm using ANT+ so can't talk about Bluetooth connectivity, but I chose it specifically for ANT+ as Bluetooth can be iffy in my experience…

Does not provide a constant cadence - it is updated, not the error S3 +

sensor of a typical design. It's easy to switch between speed and cadence (I used cadence) and easy to assemble. I wanted it to work with my Kinetic Fit Trainer/App via Bluetooth. The S3+ cadence block is connected normally, but only outputs a cadence value every 2-6 seconds. I've attached an image of a CSV file provided by the Kinetic Fit app showing the discrepancy in cadence values. If S3+ returns a value, it appears to be correct. However, if you get a lot of zeros, an average cadence…

Update: Magene actually (actually a while ago) offered to fix this based on my review ( money back or credit) so I can't hold a grudge there. Since then I've updated Wahoo apps and updated the sensor firmware hoping that would fix the problem, but it hasn't. The device itself and the Wahoo app are not fully compatible. But if you find yourself in this place, Magene will support you. Originally submitted as a question, but maybe better as a review. The sensor arrived quickly and was easy to…
