The sensor and Wahoo app aren't compatible, but Magene did well (as best they could)

Update: Magene actually (actually a while ago) offered to fix this based on my review ( money back or credit) so I can't hold a grudge there. Since then I've updated Wahoo apps and updated the sensor firmware hoping that would fix the problem, but it hasn't. The device itself and the Wahoo app are not fully compatible. But if you find yourself in this place, Magene will support you. Originally submitted as a question, but maybe better as a review. The sensor arrived quickly and was easy to install and connect to the phone following the instructions. When using the Wahoo Fitness app on iOS, the sensor is providing good cadence data, but the app is no longer receiving speed and distance data. What happened? If I have to choose, I want speed and distance. To be clear, I understand the sensor can only send speed OR cadence data. The problem is that collecting cadence data from the sensor somehow disables the speed/distance data that the app would normally get from the phone's GPS. The Wahoo app sees this sensor as a speed AND cadence sensor and looks for two signals. Obviously the sensor only sends one, and in cadence mode Wahoo also looks for speed. This results in speed and distance data not being used while driving, even though GPS data is being collected in the background and can be viewed later. I don't know how to fix it. In further dialogue with Magen and Wahoo, they point the finger. According to Magene, it's an app issue and Wahoo's solution is to buy the more expensive single-function sensor. Pooh.
