Great router even though I drove an Orbi

Great router. I replaced it with the Orbi system, but here's what I liked: 1. Great signal strength. I have a 1/4 acre lot with a long rectangular yard and I have a 2/3-75% signal in the back corner behind my fence.2. Wireless and wired speed. No complaints.3. Netgear software is excellent (at routerlogin.com).4. Signal Penetration - I have a 2 story house, 11 years old; The signal worked at the top of the farthest corner from the router.5. Build & Design: I expect to have 20-25 devices connected to my network, mostly wireless, at peak times. I wasn't afraid of it overheating or shutting down - lots of ventilation. I would hang it on the wall; it is black and the LEDs are small. I ended up switching to Orbi because I wanted MU-MIMO and found the RB50K (kit) in stock from Revain for $25 more than this. Otherwise I would leave it for 2-3 years. It's worth installing MU-MIMO in a new router, but it won't be common in a few years (router and connected device must be able to do it). Instead of your router having to move sequentially and process a request for data from one device and then move on to another device (happens very quickly, but still sequentially), MU-MIMO allows your router to move more in parallel and shift data around . from multiple devices at the same time. If you don't want to pay for the Orbi kit, the R7900P offers MU-MIMO. It's harder to find, though, and sits between the R7900 and Orbi.
