Review on 🔥 Dr. Heater DR966 240V Hardwired Shop Garage Commercial Heater, 3000W/6000W by Nancy Ruesink

Heater works great as advertised. I fixed it to the ceiling and connected it to the switchboard. On an 11 degree day it could sustain 70° in a semi-insulated two car garage, but I used an 80,000 BTU torpedo heater first to get the temperature up. In most reviews some people use 10 gauge wire with a 30 amp 2 pole switch and they say it works fine but I wasn't sure so I followed the instructions and got the required 8 gauge wire and installed a 35-A 2-pole switch. . I then checked to see if I had spent my money for nothing. For digital clamp meters the operating current is about 25 amps at high RPM, but on startup (don't forget it has a fan) it climbs to 32.5 amps in a split second, so I think that's why they need 8 gauge wire and a switch at 35 amps. I'm not an electrician but I think it's safer to follow the instructions.
