I like thin wire. Cuts cheese very well. You cannot adjust how far the wire is from the tube that runs parallel to the wire. So to adjust the thickness of the cheese slice, tilt your wrist. I don't mind this function. The grip is comfortable, as with all OXO products. Additional cables included. BUT. the cables don't break. The mechanism that pulls the wire and holds it in place breaks! If the wire is not held in place and is under tension, the slicer is useless! I contacted OXO for a replacement as the sprocket tensioner mechanism broke TWICE. On the other hand, OXO provided the lifetime warranty both times.
