Review on ASUS ProArt PA329C Displayhdr600 Monitor: 4K DisplayPort, 65Hz, Flicker-Free, Height/Tilt/Pivot Adjustable, HDMI - High-Quality Visuals by Jacob Montgomery

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Positive feedback on an amazing monitor with poor quality control

First of all, don't be put off by the "big frames". They're not big live and the screen looks smooth. First impression: - Super bright! Had to use it at 30% (Note: Usually my 300 nit screens are pretty bright) - Color reproduction is amazing, very close to listed values (100% sRGB, 100% AdobeRGB, 97% DCI-P3 according to Spyder X Elite .) See first picture. Response Time and Latency: This display is the smoothest I've ever experienced at 60Hz. This is the smoothest monitor I've ever had. Played Overwatch with no issues, no lag! This is really impressive (from someone who brought back other 60Hz monitors due to their sluggishness due to high input lag) The perfect monitor? I'm afraid not. Now for the cons: The panel has a moderate IPS glow when sitting close to the panel. It is no problem for me! - Hundreds of bright pixels stick green on black background. - Many dead pixels are visible in black on a white background. Blackboard. I will give her another chance once more are in stock. EDIT: I tried 3 devices, 1 from Revain, 1 from NewEgg and 1 from B&H Photo. The first two had thousands of stuck pixels and a few dead ones. .The latter had no dead pixels, and I was only so happy to find that on the right side of the panel was a bright vertical line like a burned image that would never go away. Only visible on gray background images or in applications like Photoshop/Visual Studio that I use. Had to deduct 1 star. I must think carefully before trying the fourth sample of the same monitor. Update: My 5th sample had an even worse panel. Multiple dead and stuck pixels, this time green and red. ASUS is done. I won't try another sample, I deducted a star.
