Review on Enhanced Shop Fox D2057A Small Charcoal Grey Adjustable Mobile Base - Unlock Stellar Performance by Justin Spence

quality is a lie in stands and mobile stands

So I got this for my table saw (Grizzly) and assembled it. When I say assemble, I mean that if you are making a table saw configuration, you will need to disassemble the two pulleys to attach them to the guides and then proceed with the assembly. It takes about two hours to assemble this whole confusing thing. When assembling it, you'll notice that the platform isn't perpendicular to the ground, and the plates that support your gear aren't perpendicular to the ground either because they're even more curved. Truth. He will swing. I also milled the star buttons wrong on mine. The threads for the knobs were so wrong they wouldn't turn. I've ordered replacement grips from the Grizzly website (because they don't sell parts at Revain) and they will be here next week. So you end up buying a base that doesn't stand straight on the ground, with a square frame, level on both axes, and only partially articulated. Chinese star pens may not work and you end up with a device that rolls during use. If you ever need to buy heavily hyped (and of course proprietary) parts, head to the Grizzly website and wait a week or two.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
