They work as advertised. Please note a different address.

They're certainly cheap enough for the hobbyist experimenter, so if you blow one up it's fine. You have to change the address. The ones I got don't use the usual address 0x27 but have the value 0x3F. This. LiquidCrystal_I2C lcd (0x3F, 16, 2);
