Light but not flimsy. A good buy.
Apron and hat are made of high quality material. Despite its light weight, the fabric is tightly woven and thick enough to provide protection and resistance to snagging or tearing during normal home kitchen chores. Washed and ironed well, it keeps its shape and doesn't wrinkle. The color is bright and vibrant. The front pockets (patch pocket 12" wide x 7" deep, sewn in the middle to get 2 sides) are a bit narrow but fit small essentials: wooden spoons, thermometer and similar items. All seams of the apron and hat are well sewn. The hat band fastens around the head (two velcro strips 1 3/4" x 3/4") and is made up of multiple layers to make it strong and keep its shape. The pleated bodice also has a compressed fiber lining to hold its shape.
