Review on 🚗 Set of 2 StrongArm 4603 Hood Lift Supports for 1984-1988 300ZX by Joe Bailey

These Strong Arms fit my 1985 300ZX (Z31) perfectly. The first thing I noticed when I picked up my car was that the old brackets had been removed and I had to prop the hood up with a 2x4. Installing the first I was able to get the 2x4 out and only one of the two helps lift the hood (do not do this with the other when swapping as both are intended to be used on the same car). At the same time, I only checked the quality of the product). As some other people have said, you'll have to drill out a rivet on your ZX the first time you change struts, but that probably won't take you 30 minutes. I would say that a 5 minute job becomes a 15 minute job. Remember that this is not a problem with the product but with the vehicle. It seems that Nissan tried to save some money by using rivets instead of nuts and bolts.
