When I first opened the package I noticed a rather odd smell, not too overpowering for anyone else to smell but I can smell it because I'm wearing the apron wore I hope that after washing in the washing machine, the smell will disappear. I'm also not sure if this is part of the design, but I did notice white "ink" on the design (see image). I zoomed in on other reviewers' pics to see if it was part of the design, but I didn't see it on other people's apron, so ok. Also, I love the apron, it's very cute!
