Acts as an additional carrier. But it is very difficult to raise and lower it. To do this, the buttons on both sides must be pressed simultaneously. But they cannot be pressed deeply enough with the fingers. Even trying hurts. I have to use the flat end of a tool to do this. This is a major design flaw and the buyer's video shows it's very different. Luckily, the trailer supports access from both sides. So I'll probably leave the trunk in the lower position and get access to the trailer interior from the front.
