Review on Hario Slow Drip Coffee Brewer 780ml: The Clear Choice for Flavorful Coffee Perfection by David Monaco

. Here are a few minor gripes: (1) As another reviewer noted, the flow rate tends to decrease after a while, at which point the valve needs to be adjusted to keep the water from dripping. On one occasion I neglected to set it before bed and the next morning when I woke up I found there was still 100ml of water in the top chamber with no movement. (2) The rubber lip attached to the top of the chamber that the water flows through never seems to stick to it very well. When I move the valve to adjust the flow rate, I always feel like the whole assembly will fall apart. To Hario's credit, that hasn't happened yet. (3) I also have a Hario Mizudashi cold dip machine which is much cheaper. Presumably dripping cold brews retain lighter, fruitier flavors better, but so far I haven't noticed a difference. I like the coffee brewed here about as much as the mizudashi coffee. Find out.
