Fon. I have used genuine Heli-Coil thread repair products for over 40 years. In this particular case, I had to repair six punctures in the wheels of a magnesium alloy airplane; I didn't want to pay $55 for a 6 hole heli coil repair kit so I went with this kit. BIG MISTAKE. I then bought the original Heli-Coil kit and repaired six holes with no problem. What is the difference? When I used the Heli-Coil tap, it removed some more material from the hole previously drilled. Something is wrong with this brand.
