I am satisfied with this refractometer for measuring the moisture content of my honey. The digital scale on the instrument can be focused with the eyepiece. And the blue and white contrast line is easy to distinguish. Gives you a high level of confidence in the moisture content of your honey. It was surprising (although it makes sense) to see the variability from frame to frame. And it's even more amazing to see that the moisture content of a box of perfectly sealed honey is only 18.5%. (Obviously, moisture content depends on many factors, not just the honey being completely closed.) I would buy this again, and I wouldn't extract honey again without knowing I have a refractometer. jay
