Review on πŸ”Š Kinter MA170 12V 2 Channel Mini Digital Audio Power Amplifier for Car or MP3 - No Power Supply Included by Rachel Scott

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Bought this amp thinking of replacing the components later.

I wasn't expecting much from this amp, it was under $20 with the power supply. It's rated at 2 amps, just like the power supply for my Bose Companion 2 desktop speakers, which I often unplugged at work because I didn't like them. I paired this with a pair of Dayton Audio B452 speakers, which cost $30 shipping because they came in an open box. I'm pleasantly surprised with the sound quality on my desk, now I have a decent system on my desk for $50. The music isn't very high quality, but at least when I'm listening to music I can understand what it's supposed to sound like, rather than trying to ignore my ears telling me the little speaker is sealed in a box on my desk. I wanted a small amp that could be screwed to the bottom of the table and made invisible upside down, but I don't mind, it might bother you. It sounds better to me than the Bose Companion 2 series, which was twice the price. If you find a project thread showing how to swap out the capacitors on this Kinter amp or replace the amp with a case compatible one and remember me, please comment and link it.
