Flat side will NOT work on induction cooker

After thoroughly seasoning the flat side for pancakes according to the instructions, we found today on the first try that it would not work on our induction cooker due to insufficient contact area of the synchronous burners . If you flip it over and put it flat side down for pancakes, no problem, but we didn't buy it for the grill. We wanted to bake pancakes and french toast on it. So be careful, users of induction cookers!
