UPDATE: I've never had such a crappy bladder. 2 days in a row my bag was completely soaked. I walk for hours and miles and climb mountains that are MILES to the nearest water source. I can't afford to have a full liter of water at the bottom of a bag. Yes, properly closed. Save some money and buy one from Walmart. At least this one never leaked to me. I don't need such a bad liter of water. Good bladder but my mouthpiece leaks when hanging on a hike no matter how hard I try to tighten it. I'm not sure what happened when I took it out of the box, cleaned it, added water and hung myself without touching anything but my mouth. Drops of water soaked my sweatshirt where it hung.
