As described and more.

After I broke two bottles in my backpack from carrying them while hiking, this protector is a good idea. I can't tell how cold it stays considering I don't start drinking right after hiking. One thing to know is that it's too big for an average backpack like the 5.11 Rush 24 but perfect for the Rush 72. Also, it works on the fly by hanging from the outside of the backpack.

The reservoir is good, the insulating bag is not very good.

I love the bladder and hose assembly (3L blue) BUT the "insulated bag" was the main reason I chose this product. I needed something to protect against condensation in my backpack when hiking and camping. Here the product deserves its 2 stars 😒. I wish the insulated bag would do what it was supposed to do, but in its current form I had my gear wet when I arrived at camp after a three mile hike. (Maybe I have a bad block?) The return window closed, so I think I'm stuck with that. (Pictures of…

Pond at the base of my Osprey

UPDATE: I've never had such a crappy bladder. 2 days in a row my bag was completely soaked. I walk for hours and miles and climb mountains that are MILES to the nearest water source. I can't afford to have a full liter of water at the bottom of a bag. Yes, properly closed. Save some money and buy one from Walmart. At least this one never leaked to me. I don't need such a bad liter of water. Good bladder but my mouthpiece leaks when hanging on a hike no matter how hard I try to tighten it. I'm…

Definitely not sealed

First. I am a professional driver. I bought 2 of these to hang in my truck so I can easily drink water during a long drive without reaching for a water bottle or taking my eyes off the road. Unfortunately, the mouthpiece leaks like crazy. In the same place on BOTH tubes. There must be a design flaw or I accidentally got two broken ones. The mouthpiece itself, when it's "on", you need to gently bite off to let the water flow. And when it's "off," no bite will let the water through. Well, it's…

Impressive! on Hydration

I bought this for an overnight camping trip in Arizona. I filled it with ice and then water and put it in an insulating sleeve and backpack. This happened around 5am. I spent the day outside in the sun. I went to bed that night with ice still in my bladder! Today I used it for a hotter hike with my hydration pack. It was shadowless in the mid '90s. I walked 3 hours. When I got home I still had ice cream (albeit a little). I was still totally impressed. Condensation has formed on the outside of…

Beyond Expectations - Hydration Packs & Bubbles

I ordered these for (2) reasons. 1 - Keep the water cold during long/multi-day kayak trips. 2 - Keep the water out of the water during night hikes in the White Mountains. in the winter. I just received them and wanted to share the tests to help others. I filled 3L with 110*F water, put it up my sleeve and put it in the freezer. Freezer 0.4*F. After 18 hours, the bubble is still 95% water and contains only a few (maybe 5) ice cube sized chunks of ice. This works fine for night driving as the…

VERY well designed and made

I bought this item to carry with another company's backpack that had more room for the gear I want to take with me for a full day hike , and more than one water tank. I like the idea of an insulated pocket that also protects the water bladder from damage. On the website the balloons looked the same to me but now that I have received both there are major differences between them that make this balloon what it is. A lot of. Better. The big differences lie in the attachment of the drinking tube to
