Handles come loose after about a week of use

I bought these to use with my potholder loom. This means their use is limited to trimming potholders and not regular crocheting. It's not very helpful, however, and I've found that the shock-absorbing grip begins to loosen after just a week or so of intermittent use. Whilst there was a pretty good selection of hooks and bits and pieces in the kit this disappoints me. Also the bag is very cheap and won't last very long with regular use. Lightning is already sticking out.
