Review on ๐ŸŒช๏ธ Makita Dust Extracting Nozzle, BSS610 - Enhance Dust Collection Efficiency with the Makita 419283-5 by Jay Koterba

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Does what it should.

There is nothing to say about the dust nozzle other than that it works. I would say before I put this on my Makita circular saw, the dust flew right onto my body. A slit in the plywood, and the pockets of my apron are filled to the brim with sawdust. Even if you don't connect it to a vacuum cleaner, it at least directs the flow of dust away from you. The big disadvantage is the fact that Makita does not supply the screw required for assembly. I had to rummage through a drawer. Screws to find something close enough and cut it to length. The plastic itself is pretty durable, but I don't expect it to last forever. It attaches to the saw with a screw on one end and a plastic tab that needs to be slipped under the metal sheath of the blade. The durability and retention of this plastic tongue is questionable at best. This tab will break first.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Nothing
