Higher intake air temperature than intake air OEM
K&N is and remains extremely overpriced in terms of value for money. Installation wasn't terrible, but their instructions need to be written a little better (particularly the saddle mount). Well I installed it, hooked up my laptop and after installation checked my IAT to compare it to the IAT from the OEM listing. Note that the ambient temperature has not changed. My K&N intake IAT actually rose 18° over the OEM. So it's safe to say it's more of a short intake duct that conducts engine heat to the intake duct. No power or mileage gain after a week and 3 tanks of fuel. The only thing that has changed is the intake noise. Wouldn't recommend it.
