PS4 Universal Remote: You can just buy it

I've been using the PlayStation 4 Universal Media Remote for almost a month now. I use it to watch TV and movies through my Sony PlayStation 4 500GB console and overall I'm happy with the quality and performance. The optics personally corresponds to the expectations that I have taken from the product images. Same quality as DualShock 4 Wireless Controller for PlayStation 4 - Jet Black (CUH-ZCT2). Pretty nice buttons. The product works as it should. It connects easily to PS4 and controls everything I've used it for like turning on the console and pausing Netflix. It's no problem to use the universal remote control for basic TV operations. It synced up as easily as any universal remote I've ever used and controlled the volume and turned the TV on and off as expected. The universal remote also works for cable boxes and amplifiers, but I don't have either, so I can't tell you much. You need this PS4 remote control if: - you have a PS4 - you use this PS4 for multimedia like watching Netflix and YouTube videos. "You wish you could do things like pause and fast forward while watching these videos without having to press a few buttons on a controller, a controller that just fast forwards or rewinds videos if you put them down at the wrong angle. You want to be able to control your TV with the same remote that you use for your PS4. If you meet all these conditions and are willing to spend more money on your PS4 shenanigans, that's it. Both because it is a good product and because it is currently the only PS4 remote available that is also a universal remote. That being said, there are a few things to note: The keyboard isn't backlit. You must learn to find this remote control in the dark. Every few times when I turn on the PS4 the remote won't work and I have to grab the controller and go into settings to disconnect and reconnect to the network. Remote control. This may be a software issue that will be fixed in the future. I haven't studied it, I'm in the process of digging into it, but that's the biggest problem I've had with the product. In the Hulu app, the reset button you expect, the red "O" button, doesn't work. I realized I could use the red multifunction button instead. Here, too, the software plays no role. Since Bluetooth is being used, the PS4 controls will go to sleep. It's a very minor annoyance (you have to press a button to wake it up) that we'll live with as a compromise for using Bluetooth and saving battery life... or something like that. Battery life might not be great, but it's probably normal for a Bluetooth controller. It takes two AAA batteries and mine is about half full after moderate to heavy daily use. I'm having some trouble controlling the higher level functions of the TV. For example, changing input sources and other menus don't work properly, but the remote has many universal programming options and different brands should give different results. The TV I use it with is a 55" Sharp LC-55N6000U 4K Ultra HD 2160p 60Hz LED Smart HDTV (4K x 2K). You might just want to get it if you watch TV on PS4. If you don't have money to spend If you want to, you can keep using a regular PS4 controller and it will continue to work just fine. But the next time you lay your controller on the couch and your show progresses, remember this product exists. Of course, you could just be more careful or install an app for your phone or you will get it. , black (battery not included) but it doesn't work. It doesn't control your TV and says it doesn't work with a bunch of apps, so this universal media remote is for PlayStation 4 the best solution.

Pros
  • Application control fully compatible with most applications on PS4 systems
Cons
  • Not bad but...
