Review on 🚪 Dorman 77667 Liftgate Pull Strap: Ideal for Buick and Chevrolet Models by Patrick Lets

Fits almost perfectly in the tailgate of our Buik Terraza. I have one comment and two complaints. Note: This is gray color only, please note that the brown color in the picture is a poor representation, it is not the correct color. Claims, very weak feeling. Our old strap was very thick and strong, and the loop at the end broke, not the strap. I can find a new type of pin and attach our old strap to these new loops because it seems that if we try to close the tailgate with this strap it will stretch and break. The second complaint is a bit difficult to explain. but bear with me The hinge fits perfectly into the grooves on our Terraza and note that this handle does NOT come with its own hardware. The bolts we have here fit the hinges perfectly, but the insertion holes (the insertion area so the top of the bolt is flush with the hinge) were barely big enough for the head of the bolt to fit. I see how it could be because it was designed for different screws, but the clearance holes wouldn't accept a much smaller screw unless it slided all the way through. I say the hole is an odd size and if you had a smaller screw you would also need to use washers to hold it in place. I wanted to use the original screws for our Terraza, but I couldn't insert a wrench or ratchet into the insertion area and slide the screw open. I ended up having to use needle nose pliers to tighten the screws and even they had trouble fitting with the screw head in the insert area. (The bolt didn't have a screwdriver slot either, otherwise I'd just use it) All in all I bought this because for the price it's better than having a gaping slot on our new car, but I wouldn't pull it but install it was a pain.
