🚪 Dorman 77667 Liftgate Pull Strap: Ideal for Buick and Chevrolet Models Review

Very easy to assemble with existing screws; and goes well with our brown interior. The grip appears to be silicone/"rubber" while the original was leather. It certainly won't last as long as the original, but it costs three times less. The handle is a good thickness but very thin at the two ends that wrap around the set screw where all the load is.

I feel like every time I close the tailgate it breaks. But that's not the case yet, so here's the thing. (On the other hand, I treat it as gently as possible.) I purchased this part in November 2014 to replace the original part on my car. However, the part broke after only 7 months compared to the 7 YEARS the OEM part lasted. Neither the retailer (Titan Direct) nor the manufacturer (Dorman) endorsed this product and refused to refund or replace it. I returned this item for a number of reasons. First of all, and I understand that this is not a problem for most buyers, its gray color did not match the brown interior of my car. Second, the strap turned out to be thinner and of poorer quality than the original part.
