I bought this 3 years ago and it worked great the first time. Drained all the oil from the car. No mess. The second time, oil started squirting out of the handle as I pumped it. I thought it was leftovers from the first time and I just poured the oil out so the oil wouldn't settle. This problem got worse as I continued to use it. I finally called the company after reading a message here that the seals were not compatible with synthetic oils. seems stupid. I called the parts company and they said the seals were fine but they had nothing to sell me to replace. So I disassembled it to find out what was wrong. It turns out that the vacuum housing is a long aluminum tube with an injection molded plastic plug at the end. I thought it was some kind of check valve in the connector so I pulled it out. No, it was just a plug, but the threads on the plug were so small they just tried to fill the cavity with epoxy and screw it in to seal. It turned out to be a terrible idea and the epoxy didn't seal resulting in oil splattering all over the place when used making a clean oil change a total disaster! DO NOT BUY THIS! I hope my solution works because the first oil change was awesome but then it was awful.
