Review on Dorman 419 610 Idler Pulley by Troy Jennings

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Budget. My original dust covers fit. Quiet camp for now. Looks like the original

I used them on my 2001 Grand Am SE V6 3400 to replace the original pulleys with over 150,000 miles on them. While the originals still worked great and silently; I figured 150,000 miles would be long enough to put them on and that this time I'd only replace them while I worked on the belt and water pump. The OEM dust covers on my bolts go well with these pulleys. And while the appearance is very similar to the originals, the inner rim design is larger, allowing more clearance between the OEM dust caps and the inner surface of the pulley. It's not enough to worry me. But it's not exactly the same as stocks. But much cheaper. And so far they are quiet. Since my originals were still quiet, I was worried that the newer, but cheaper, ones might have some noise. So far they are calm and hopefully they will remain so for the next 150,000 miles. I didn't use the spacer that came with it because it's not needed for my application. Still, it's a great price and seems the closest thing to the original for my 2001 V6 Grand Am.
