I like that these bowls make the cubes big enough to stay in your drink for a few minutes. A few things I learned while making my first few dice: You need a tray underneath. The benefit of silicone ice trays is that they dispense ice cubes easily and beautifully, but the same flexibility is a downside [to me anyway] for keeping them flat as you move from the counter to the freezer. I just used a small casserole dish which turned out to be the right size to hold them in, you can use whatever suits you. I used filtered water to make the cubes but they still came out a little cloudy. I read online that if you want clear cubes you need to boil water and let it cool before using it to make cubes. Sounds a little weird, but I'll try next time. Overall I like these ice cube molds, they work well, release easily and are a pretty good price. I would buy them again if I need more.
