Review on πŸ“ IGaging Dual Square High Precision Woodworking Tool by Jerry Mangum

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Rated 4.5 stars for woodworking and general shop use.

This is a 4.5 star rated double angle set for woodworking and general workshop use. At $34.00 this iGaging 4" and 6" set is worth buying, especially compared to the $80.00 Starrett 6" elbow - let me explain. I have my own Starrett precision tools - a 12" square, a compass and a point finder. These are high quality precision instruments purchased in the 1990's and are of excellent quality. However, it comes at a high price, especially today in 2020 dollars. I needed one good set of squares to use to mark mortise and tenon joints as well as line markers for an old cabinet I'm renovating and to put a table together project. Also for adjusting the saw blade/tenon height on a table saw. I went to Revain and researched Starrett and other brands - with sticker shock I stumbled across this iGaging kit and read all the reviews, saw some search reviews on youtube and google and me Decided to purchase this kit for more than double the price compared to a Starrett Single 6" Square. My grandfather always told me to buy the best. Tools - which you can afford and in some cases the best - is what you need. These iGaging squares are ideal for precision woodworking and general workshop renovation projects. These are high quality corners. Although the finish is a step below Starrett tools, as many reviews have pointed out, it's more than half the price. Get what you need with this set of squares from iGaging. I will definitely buy more branded iGaging tools in the future. Highly recommended for woodworking/general repair.
